Brief overview:
We seek a motivated and results-oriented individual to fill the role of Fleet Supervisor. The ideal candidate will oversee our fleet’s daily operations, ensure our vehicles’ safety and efficiency, and manage the workshop team to maintain and repair our fleet according to the rules in place. This role requires a strong understanding of vehicle maintenance procedures, leadership skills, and the ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks including below.
Fleet Management:
● Oversee all aspects of our company fleet, including cars, trucks, and other vehicles and machinery.
● Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to optimize vehicle lifespan and performance.
● Conduct regular vehicle inspections to identify potential issues and ensure roadworthiness.
● Investigate and resolve any fleet-related accidents or incidents.
● Coordinate with office administration for insurance claims, vehicle advertising wrapping, deliveries or pickups, and keep the team updated.
● Utilize vehicle tracking software to monitor unusual events such as idling, harsh braking, and non-office-hour trips, and take appropriate action.
● Analyze fuel consumption data and implement strategies to improve efficiency.
● Track vehicle passing, registrations, and insurance policies, ensuring timely renewals.
● Manage vehicle assignments and hand over vehicles to staff as required.
● Maintain accurate and up-to-date fleet records for efficient management.
Workshop Supervision:
● Lead and motivate a team of technicians, fostering a safe and productive work environment.
● Develop and assign tasks and schedules for service and repairs for vehicles, pumps, machinery, etc.
● Collaborate with the procurement team to ensure timely and efficient ordering of parts and service items.
● Maintain a well-equipped workshop by ensuring the availability of necessary tools and resources.
● Monitor and manage workshop inventory, including spare parts and consumables, to optimize stock levels.
● Implement and enforce safety protocols, cleanliness, and hygiene standards within the workshop.
● Conduct performance reviews for workshop technicians to provide feedback and support professional development.
Qualifications and Skills:
● High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in automotive repair or a related field preferred.
● Proven experience in fleet management and workshop supervision, preferably 3 years
● Strong technical knowledge of fleet and vehicle maintenance and repair.
● Excellent communication, leadership, management, and organizational skills.
● Proficiency in using fleet management software and other relevant computer applications.
● Ability to work under pressure and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.
● Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
