About the Role:

Client is seeking a proactive, resourceful, and highly organized Purchaser / Procurement Officer with experience in the UAE market, preferably within the Glass, Aluminium, Façade, Architectural Metal, Construction, or Interior Fit-Out industries.

The ideal candidate should be capable of independently handling procurement activities from day one, maintaining strong vendor relationships, sourcing materials at competitive rates, negotiating favorable commercial terms, and ensuring timely delivery of all materials required for production and project execution.

This role requires excellent communication, negotiation, coordination, and market-sourcing skills, along with a strong understanding of procurement procedures and supply chain management within the construction industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Procurement & Purchasing
  • Source, procure, and coordinate the purchase of materials required for ongoing and upcoming projects.
  • Obtain and evaluate competitive quotations from multiple suppliers based on cost, quality, delivery timelines, and reliability.
  • Negotiate pricing, payment terms, discounts, lead times, and supply agreements to achieve the best commercial value.
  • Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (POs) and follow up with suppliers through delivery and order closure.
  • Maintain accurate records of quotations, purchases, supplier communications, and procurement reports.
  • Ensure all procurement activities comply with company policies and project requirements.
  1. Industry-Specific Procurement:

Procure and coordinate materials including, but not limited to:

  • Aluminium profiles and systems
  • Architectural, tempered, laminated, acoustic, and double-glazed glass (DGU)
  • Slim sliding, sliding door, pivot door, telescopic, and synchronized door systems

Hardware and accessories

  • Patch fittings, door closers, locks, and handles
  • Silicone, sealants, gaskets, and EPDM rubber
  • Stainless steel fittings
  • Mirrors and fabrication accessories
  • Site consumables
  • Tools and equipment required for fabrication and installation
  1. Vendor & Supplier Management
  • Develop and maintain a reliable network of suppliers across the UAE.
  • Build and maintain strong, long-term relationships with vendors and suppliers.
  • Identify new suppliers and alternative sourcing options to improve availability and competitiveness.
  • Conduct regular market research on pricing, product availability, and new products.
  • Evaluate supplier performance based on quality, pricing, service, and delivery.

 

  1. Delivery & Logistics Coordination
  • Monitor supplier delivery schedules and ensure materials are delivered on time.
  • Coordinate with warehouse, fabrication, and project teams regarding material requirements and delivery priorities.
  • Proactively resolve supply delays, shortages, and procurement-related issues.
  • Arrange urgent purchases when required to meet project deadlines.

 

  1. Cost Control
  • Achieve cost savings through effective sourcing and supplier negotiations.
  • Monitor market prices and identify cost-effective alternatives without compromising quality.
  • Ensure procurement activities remain aligned with project budgets and procurement targets.

 

  1. Internal Coordination
  • Work closely with the Estimation, Sales, Design, Production, and Project teams.
  • Understand technical material requirements based on drawings, BOQs, specifications, and project requirements.
  • Coordinate procurement schedules in line with project timelines.
  • Provide regular procurement status updates and highlight potential supply or cost risks to management.

 

Required skills & Qualifications:

  1. Experience
  • Minimum 2–5 years of procurement or purchasing experience in the UAE.
  • Preference will be given to candidates with experience in: Glass & Aluminium Industry, Façade Industry, Architectural Metal Works, Construction Industry, Interior Fit-Out Industry
  1. Technical Knowledge
  • Good understanding of aluminium systems, glass products, hardware, fittings, and construction materials.
  • Familiarity with UAE-based suppliers, vendors, and market pricing.
  • Ability to understand drawings, technical specifications, BOQs, and material requirements.

  • Strong negotiation and purchasing skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong vendor and supplier management abilities.
  • Excellent follow-up, coordination, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

  • Good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, and procurement documentation.
