Electrical Engineer – Luxury Retail & F&B Fit-Out

Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled Electrical Engineer specializing in luxury retail boutiques and premium F&B fit-out projects. In this role, you will manage end-to-end electrical and low-voltage (ELV) scope—from initial authority load approvals through site execution to final handover. You will be responsible for delivering flawless technical execution under aggressive mall night-shift schedules, precise architectural lighting details, complex commercial kitchen electrical loads, and strict landlord/authority compliance (e.g., Dubai Mall, Mall of the Emirates, DEWA, DCD).

Key Responsibilities:

• High-Precision Electrical & Lighting Execution: Oversee the installation and commissioning of intricate architectural lighting scenes (DALI, Lutron, KNX), custom fixture detailing, LV power distribution, and dedicated kitchen equipment sub-panels.
• Complex Load & MEP Coordination: Verify single-line diagrams (SLDs), load schedules, cable sizing, and containment routing. Coordinate seamlessly with HVAC, plumbing, fire alarm, and kitchen equipment specialists to avoid spatial conflicts in tight ceiling voids and back-of-house areas.
• Landlord & Authority Approvals: Lead technical submissions and inspections with local authorities (DEWA, Dubai Civil Defense, Dubai Municipality) and major mall base-building management teams to secure NOCs, energized power connections, and completion certificates.
• Fast-Track Night Shift & Site Management: Manage sub-contractors and site teams during mall-mandated working hours (including night shifts). Enforce strict quality control, dust/noise mitigation, and zero-defect finishing.
• Material Procurement & RFIs: Prepare and track Material Approval Requests (MARs) for high-end specified electrical fittings, luxury switches/sockets, and ELV components. Resolve site-specific engineering conflicts via RFIs promptly to prevent schedule delays.

Requirements:

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Experience: Minimum 7 years in interior fit-out, with a proven track record delivering luxury retail (fashion/jewelry) and high-end F&B/restaurant projects in the UAE.
• Technical Proficiency: Expert knowledge in commercial kitchen equipment power requirements, BMS/ELV integration, AutoCAD, and electrical design software.
• Mall & Authority Expertise: Deep familiarity with base-building tenant fit-out manuals (TFMs) for premier Dubai malls and current DEWA / DCD wiring and life safety regulations.
• Attributes: Exceptional attention to aesthetic finish details, strong crisis management skills under tight handover deadlines, and fluent communication with international brand consultants, project managers, and luxury clients.
